Outdoor Fun Party Games
WET SPONGE VOLLEY BALL

Have outdoor fun with this wet party game, or play it in a large hall, but the floor will get soaked.

Ideal on the beach, so don't just leave it for birthdays. It is suitable for any activity event.

Best played over a volley ball net, or a raised bar. This is to stop direct targets.

2 teams, one either side of the net.

Each team has a bucket/basin filled with water.

An equal number of sponges.

Each team consists of, 1 thrower, the rest catchers.

The catchers must hold the bottom of their T-shirt, with both hands. They cannot catch with their hands.

The game begins with the thrower from each team, wetting a sponge and lobbing it over the net, hoping for it to touch the ground.

The catcher must try for a clean catch in their T-shirt. NO HANDS!!.

If a sponge is caught, the player puts the sponge in his team bucket.
NO HANDS!!!.

The thrower now has more ammunition.

A catcher is only allowed to catch 1 sponge at a time.

The rest of the team must remember to fill the gap, from the missing player, while they restock the bucket.

The game is over when all sponges are on the floor.

Winning team has fewer sponges on the floor.

A VARIATION, should a player get hit in the head by a wet sponge, they are out. This now reduces the number of catchers.
