Ice Breaker Games
House In Order

HOUSE IN ORDER

As ice breaker games go; this is a great fast introduction to each other, without the embarrassment.
Put players into teams, the larger the better, say 10 people.
Allow the team to get to know each other for about 3-4 minutes.
The team should talk and find out details such as
Name
Age
Height
Shoe size
Birthdays
School
Eye colour
As much information as possible in the time available, nothing is to be written down.
Now the party host will call out an order, maybe “line up in alphabetical order”.
So the teams have to line up in alphabetical order as quickly as possible, against the clock, and against the other teams.
Winning team gets 10 points awarded providing the order is correct.
No 10 points if wrong.
Award instead 1 point, per person, per team, in an unbroken chain.
Say team 1 had the first six players correct = 6 points etc.
The party host can then call out any thing else they want, “star signs”, you will hear groans when they didn’t think to ask that one!

Variation 1. The caller could say “silent Surnames”; now the teams will find it harder to communicate.

Variation 2. Each team will have a length of rope, and each team member must have both hands holding it. When the call is made for a particular lineout, the players must get into line, but at least 1 hand must be on the rope at all times.
