FANNING THE BALLOON This balloon game is a very basic but tricky relay race.
Each team will need 1 balloon and 1 folded newspaper folded into a square.
The object of this game is to move the balloon along a set course by fanning it with the square of newspaper.
The newspaper must not touch the balloon at any time.
The balloon must not touch the ground.
Should the balloon touch the ground or the newspaper, that player has to start the course again, or receive a penalty point.
This is a tricky game but very doable.
If the game is to be played in a Hall with pre teenage children, the balloon could be played on the floor, where the player has to fan the balloon around a set course, maybe some Cones place 6 feet apart from each other until they get to the finish line.
Variation. For younger players. It would be easier to play the game similar to ping-pong.
Have one player either end of the table, both of them holding the folded newspaper, and place a balloon in the middle of the table.
When the game begins, it is up to each player to try and fan the balloon to the opposite end of the table.
If the balloon drops on to the floor depending on which half of the table, that player loses a point.
To prevent both players continually fanning the balloon, instruct each player at the beginning of the game that they are only allowed one fan of the balloon, when the balloon is in their half.
The same rules as for table tennis as you cannot hit a ball twice.
PARTY TIP BALLOON GAME
Every party needs balloons.
Put them everywhere, not just in the party room.
Make the front door come alive. Hang them from every door knob, curtain pole and coat hook.
Write the children’s names on them and use them as place markers around the party table.
Always make sure that there is a balloon in the party bag to go home, age permitting.
Do all the above, but remember, to use them throughout the party.
Here are loads to choose from, put balloons on that party list. Make sure to buy a huge bag, I would inflate them with a pump as it saves on fainting.
