EASTER PARTY GAMES WORD ASSOCIATION It can be played by any number of players. The idea is, the first player says a word related to Easter, and the next player says a word associated to it. I.e.Easter-Egg-Painted-Yellow-Chick etc. The fun starts when the game speeds up, and words begin to run out. You hesitate, repeat a word, or you deviate well off track. Everyone calls ‘hesitation’,’ repetition’, or ‘deviation’ and decide on a suitable forfeit for you. With younger children, they are out, until the person next to them hesitates, then they are back in the game. Give it a try; it really is silly great fun! EASTER PARTY GAMES WHO AM I ? For your list of Easter party games, this one is always the easiest to arrange. Write the name of anything Easter, animal, object, place or anything relevant to the occasion, on to a pad of sticky notes. Example Bunny-Egg-Chick- and so on. Stick one note on to each player’s forehead, without them seeing it. The players must then find out who/what is on their note. The only answers to be given are YES/NO. Have a pad pre-written in the drawer, if the game was not needed this time, take the pad on holiday. Great whilst travelling as a tension breaker. EASTER PARTY GAMES CHINESE WHISPERS As with other Easter party games, this one starts with all players either sitting in a circle, or a long straight line.An Easter word or sentence is whispered to the first person in line. It is then their turn to whisper the same to the person beside them. Continue this until the very last person has heard the whisper. They then say it out loud and compare it to the original whisper. VARIATION Make 3 teams.Team 1 told an Easter Film/Movie.Team 2 told an Easter or Springtime song.Team 3 told an object again related to the season. Then get each team to say the last word or sentence. The outcome can be quite funny. EASTER PARTY GAMES PASS THE PARCEL The original Game ‘PASS THE PARCEL’ was to wrap up a little prize, in about 20 layers of paper. Now party games have changed and a prize is under every layer of paper, with a bigger one in the middle. Arrange the kids in a circle on the floor.Start playing music, and then hand the parcel to the first party player.Whilst the music is playing the parcel is passed around the circle without stopping. Once the music stops, the player holding the parcel tries to rip off a layer of paper before the music starts again, and the parcel gets passed on.This is repeated until all the layers of wrap are gone. VARIATION 1 is to place a forfeit under each layer, for example, a piece of folded paper telling the player to act out an Easter animal or make Bunny faces”. VARIATION 2 Great around the Easter table, instead of crackers, far more fun. Must not forget the paper hat and joke. If the music stops on the same person they simply pass it on to the person next to them. VARIATION 3 Great for an office Easter meal, gets things warmed up. You could use a piece of Easter Trivia under each layer. If you were a mean boss, under each layer could be work related questions. EASTER PARTY GAMES JIGSAW PUZZLE GAME This is a very simple game, which can keep young children, entertained for ages? A small amount of preparation is required. Take a large picture from a book or magazine which is related to Easter and cut it into several pieces, the size of piece will depend on the age of child, who will be playing. This one can be played either as a team or individual game.To play as a group game, cut up several pictures, but remember to remove one segment from each picture. Each team will be presented with one piece of the puzzle. The remainder of the picture will be mixed with the other pictures, and placed facedown on the floor. Player 1 from each team holding their one piece of the puzzle, must then run to the jigsaw pieces on the floor, they can turn over a maximum of three pieces of the jigsaw, to see if they have a match. If no match is found the jigsaw pieces must be again, placed face down on the floor. The next team member will do the same; the game will obviously become easier, when there are less jigsaw pieces on the floor. As a suggestion, the younger members should be placed towards the back of a line. The first team to complete their Easter jigsaw puzzle will be the winner. This is also a great opportunity to use any old Easter cards left over. EASTER PARTY GAMES CHARADES If you have not used your Easter sticky notes from the Party Game “Easter Who Am I” then use them now. You will need to have pre written on individual pieces of cards, a title of an Easter or Springtime film, an Easter song or a quotation related to the Easter theme. The player must read the card, without showing it to anyone, then act out what is on the card. No speaking, no touching objects and no mouthing the word. The gestures you are usually allowed to use For a book title, join your hands together as for prayer, then unfold them flat. For a film title, place one hand over your eye in a shape of a lens, at the same time the other hand should be winding around in a circle, as if it is an old cine camera. For a quotation, simply do a couple of quotation marks in the air. For a TV show, draw a square box in the air. Other gestures allowed shape your hands to spell “T” for “THE”, the number of words in a title can be displayed with the same number of fingers. Short word pinch your fingers together, long word stretch your hands out. Syllables touch your arm with the same number of fingers to syllables. Correct word touch your nose, and point to the person giving the correct answer. Or do a thumbs up sign. Make up other gestures to suit your party.
