Simple balloon game, all players form a circle. Player 1 has the balloon. When the music starts, player 1 taps the balloon up in the air. The next player nearest the balloon must tap the balloon up in the air. This continues until the music stops. The player who last hit the balloon is now out. If the balloon touches the floor at any time, the player nearest to the balloon is out.
Musical Balloons Variation 1 If you want to play the game and have no one out. Change the rule, so that they have to turn around facing out of the ring. Should the balloon hit them they are back in the game.
Musical Balloons Variation 2 Get each player to put 1 arm behind their back or in a pocket. Now play the game with 2 balloons and faster music. Same rules apply.
Every party needs balloons.
Put them everywhere, not just in the party room. Make the front door come alive. Hang them from every door knob, curtain pole and coat hook. Write the children’s names on them and use them as place markers around the party table. Always make sure that there is a balloon in the party bag to go home, age permitting.
Do all the above, but remember, to use them throughout the party.
